NIA educates emerging Artists in play writing and production, then brings to school systems quality Arts programming. We focus on young Artists of color who are attempting to establish careers as writers, producers, and performers. We assist them in perfecting their plays and producing these plays as part of our main stage events. Plays are performed in underserved communities in NYC and for the general public in NYC theatre district.
Our Arts-In-Education programs assist public schools within underserved communities. This effort is done to counter the paucity of arts programs in music, dance, and theatre. Our aim is to bring to school systems art courses that enhance the educational quality of the school environment and expose students to careers in the arts.
Your donation is needed to make a difference. NIA receives funding from private foundations, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and our friends; however, the funding is not enough because the need is so great! Your donation will go a long way in helping us fulfill our mission and bring to our community the power to change lives through the arts!
NIA is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization and contributions are tax-deductible.
